The Process

Your Freeman Signs Sales Professional will work with you
to create the perfect design, taking into account any logos or color preferences that you have, and local codes, along with any applicable sign criteria set by your landlord.
Once a design has been selected and cost figures agreed upon, we will provide a sales contract and final art for your signature.  At the time the contract is signed, a 50% deposit is collected to start the job.  Depending on the type of sign(s), a site plan of the property may be needed for permitting.  Freeman Signs personnel will procure the necessary permits after which, fabrication will begin.  Next, we will schedule installation and your beautiful sign will be complete!

On-Site Manufacturing and Fabrication

From start to finish, Freeman Signs does it all here in Colorado. Inside our expansive facility, your signs will be created from a concept design.   Installation will be scheduled accordingly.   Our sign experts are ready to help you find the illuminated or non-illuminated signage that meets your needs and budget.

Installation

Once the sign fabrication is finished, Freeman Signs' highly trained installation crews take over.  The level of expertise and attention to detail is unmatched.  Freeman Signs has the well-maintained equipment for every facet of an installation, from low profile monument signs to 100 + feet high rise signs.  Excavation, dirt removal, concrete and high crane work are no problem.  For smaller jobs in tighter quarters, Freeman Signs also offers well equipped bucket trucks, along with pickup trucks and trailers to transport signs to the job site.

History

Freeman Signs was founded in the late 1940’s after World War II by Cullen D. and Lucille Freeman. The business was originally located at 2823 South Broadway in an old house. In 1948, the original shop was built and the old house removed.

In March 1954, Philip C. Grimm went to work for Freeman Signs until November 1957.  On March 1, 1960, he returned to purchase Freeman Signs and the shop building. The operation continued on Broadway until 1970. In 1970, Phil Grimm built a new building at 2991 South Tejon in the Englewood Industrial Park area.  He moved Freeman Signs to this location and incorporated to American Freeman Industries dba Freeman Signs. Freeman Signs moved to another Englewood location in 1975.

Jeff Peters purchased Freeman Signs in 2000.  His years of experience with 2 large sign companies allowed him to learn the business from the ground up.  Jeff has grown the business over the last 10 years, and as of May 2010 has relocated Freeman Signs to its expanded facility in Denver.  We have increased our staff, equipment and technology in response to our growth in the Colorado market.
